Regent's American College go into IBM Universities
Business Challenge Semi-finals

Second In Group Knock Out Round
The Regents College London Team (AN1) has qualified
for the prestigious IBM Universities Business Challenge semi-finals
in 2008. The team are now second in their group
knockout rounds.
Two hundred and thirty two university and college teams from
across the United Kingdom took part in the Challenge
- including three entries from Regents College.

The teams have been busily running their simulated businesses
and submitting their decisions each week since early November 2007
in their respective groups. Just the top 72 out of the
original 232 teams will qualify for the national semi
finals which starts at the end of January 2008. Only the group
winners in each semi-finals location will qualify for the national
final at IBM HQ in February.
In the semi-final at Chubb Insurance, Fenchurch Street on Friday
8th February 2008, Team AN1 (shown above) will
compete with St Andrews University, Exeter University, Imperial
College Anglia Ruskin University, St Andrews University, University
of York – Economics and Imperial College – Tanaka Business School.
We wish Team AN1 well in their quest to qualify for the national
final.
The annual IBM-UBC is organised and run by one of the UK
Management Business Simulation Team Training Game Specialist –
Learning Dynamics.
The Teams
Regent's College entered three teams into the competition which
comprised of a inter-school mix of students from the European
Business School, Regent's Business School London and Regent's
American College London.
Team AN1 - Aleksandar
Svonja (EBS), Milos Malbasic (EBS), Jan Charouz (RBS-Team Captain),
Andrija Banovic (RBS) and George Rozhkov (RBS). Led by team captain
Jan Charouz the team started well and maintained their second
placing in the competition.
Team AM2-
Constantijn Hyunen (RBS-Team Captain), Mohamed Ouafiq (Deputy
Captain-EBS), Marc-Julien Siewert (RBS), Nick Motz
(RBS).
Team AL1 -
Susanna Halonen (RBS-Team Captain), Heidi Lind Jensen (RBS), Sergey
Eliseev (RBS), Lyndsay Hercule (RACL), Snehil Dhall (RACL) and
Seungjin Jeon (RBS).
All our students have demonstrated great competitive effort.
