Regent's American College London Graduation 2008

On 10th May students from Regent's American College London received their BA degrees from Webster University, alongside students from Webster Graduate School receiving their Ma and MBA degrees.

In order to accommodate the increased number of graduands and their guests, the ceremony this year took place in the beautiful and spacious setting of the historic St Marylebone Parish Church.

Lady Sophie Laws, Head of School, presided, welcoming everyone to the ceremony and expressing the pride and delight of the teaching faculty in the graduands’ success. The commencement speaker was Dr Judith Ackroyd, recently-appointed Dean of the Faculty of Humanitiers, Arts and Social Sciences of Regent's College, who encouraged the graduands to “raise a storm” of celebration. Degrees were conferred by David Parrish, Webster Resident Director, and the Webster Univesity  Alumni Graduation 2008 BusAssociation award was presented by Dr Kate Parsons, a visiting faculty member from the St Louis campus. The award was given to Veronica Andrade to mark both her academic achievement as a double major and her service to the College.

Faculty and new graduates left the ceremony, attracting the attention of passing tourist buses, and walked through Regent’s Park to a Reception in the College gardens. Academic robes added extra colour to the Spring greenery on a gloriously sunny and most memorable day.
