Webster Welcome Party Success
27th October 2006
Current students, faculty, and staff welcomed new students and
visiting football teams to the Webster Campus and the new term with
the Fall 2 Welcoming Party. A crowd of approximately 150 attendees
were greeted with a welcome from Webster Director David Parrish and
Student Government President David Taborsky and treated with food,
drinks, and socialising throughout the evening.

Students also took part in a football-themed trivia quiz in
honor of the football tournament the next day in which they won
Webster gear.
The Welcoming Party served as a perfect opportunity to introduce
the Global International Relations students to the campus
community. Having just arrived at the London campus, the Global IR
students will be spending the next eight weeks until moving to the
next European campus to study.
Another group of students just arriving on campus was that of
the teams of visiting footballers from the other Webster University
European campuses as well as the other Regent’s College football
teams. With the tournament following the next day, the Welcoming
Party allowed the teams to meet one another socially before
battling it out on the football pitch.

"The Regent’s American College London offers a great opportunity to interact with students from all over the world and everyday I am able learn a new aspect of each different culture. After my freshman year, I realised that I began to be more open-minded and that it is essential to compare my culture with others."
