Internships
Internships are a valuable way to add a practical work based
element to your degree. In an increasingly competitive job market,
internships provide valuable work experience that will
give students the edge in the application
process. It is also a great opportunity to
decide in which business sector you finally wish to work.
Finding an Internship
To help find the right internship, a wide range of free,
tangible and online resources are available at the Resource Centre. A fortnightly Job Bulletin is also produced by the Careers
Service and contains an informative section on internship
opportunities currently avialble.
If you wish to undertake an internship, the Careers Service team
will be happy to assist in finding the internship that is right for
you. To make an appointment, you contact us on 020
7487 7767, via email at careers@regents.ac.uk or just
drop by our office in Tuke 008.
Overseas Students – Work Permits:
Overseas students from non-EU countries do not
require a work permit to take part-time and vacation work. A
number of restrictions will apply:
- The student must not work more than 20 hours a week during term
time, except where a work placement or internship is to be
undertaken as a necessary part of the course of study as agreed by
the education institution.
Further clarification can be obtained from the
Home Office UK Visa
homepage.

"I recommend RACL because it offers so many prospects to students in any study field, be it internships found with the help of Careers & Placement Centre or study abroad to other campuses that offer a wider variety of courses in a certain field of interest to the student. I felt really welcome by staff as well as by my teachers and tutors. The professors are very dedicated to what they do and try their best to get to know their students. Unlike big universities, the environment in RACL allows students to know people from different cultural backgrounds, better. I have found this college to be a big melting pot where you meet people from all over the world."
