Degree Components

The American Degree System

The American degree system is made up of the following components:

Each class is usually awarded 3 credit hours (occasionally rising to 4 credits or up to 6 for certain senior level courses).

A credit hour is the amount of hours per week you will be in class for the duration of the term.

The academic year is divided into two terms.  The Fall and the Spring term, we also offer a Summer session however this is optional.  In each term,  students usually take anywhere from 15 to 18 credit hours.  A term is 15 weeks in duration.

Students must obtain 128 Credit Hours to be awarded their degree, and hold a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.0 out of a 4.0 scale.

"After finishing my High School education in South Africa I left for the US on a tennis scholarship. While I was there I completed 3 years of 4 year BA degree. After leaving the US I started work in London until I realised that I could finish my undergraduate degree and go on to complete a Masters degree at the Regent’s American College London and Webster Graduate School respectively. I graduated with a BA in Management in December 2001 and an MA in Computer Resources and Information Management in May 2003.  The London campus of Webster University is truly magnificent as it is in a beautiful part of Central London."
