General Education

You must successfully complete the General Education program, which is designed to give breadth to your university degree. For most degree programs you are required to take one course from each of the following areas.

  • Critical Thinking
  • Arts Appreciation
  • Values
  • Communications
  • Mathematics
  • Historical Consciousness
  • Cultural Understanding
  • Humanities
  • Scientific Understanding

A Broad General Education

One of the unique features of the American style degree is that it enables the student to obtain a broad general education base whilst also studying a chosen discipline in depth.  This means students can explore future career interests without committing to an area of specialism before they are ready to do so.

After completing the General Education requirements students will be able to:

  • expand their knowledge in disciplines outside their specialisation
  • improve critical and analytical skills
  • strengthen academic skills in critical thinking, communication, time management, public speaking and presentations: which will enhance your professional career.

" It was a great privilege to attend Webster’s campuses that provided me an ideal ground to expand my horizon. All the campuses that I attended were really great. However, I enjoyed the London campus most. This was due to the sizes of the class, skilled professors, one to one tutorials and friendly atmosphere. The support and help from different professors in London campus not only boosted my morale but also improved my overall GPA in the final year. "
