Learning Outcomes
  • On successful completion of this course, students should be able to:
    Demonstrate an understanding of the key elements in the historical development of photography.  Show competency in the use of a 35mm Single Lens camera.
  • Work independently in a darkroom to process film and produce black and white prints. 
  • Generate ideas, concepts, proposals and solutions independently and collaboratively in response to set briefs.
PresentationStudents are required to meet deadlines for coursework projects and ensure work is submitted for assessment. All practical work should be collated professionally in a portfolio for final submission grading at the end of the semester. Students sit a short multiple choice/written examination in the final week of term.
Pre-RequisitesPrerequisites: MEDC 1010 and EPMD 1000 or permission of the photography coordinator.
