Learning OutcomesThe main objectives of the course are for students to gain an understanding of how human rights can be defined and protected. Reaching this objective, students by the end of the course will be able to use the skills learned and knowledge gained in explaining human rights concepts and analysing how these are applied in practice by States and international institutions. Students will also be able to discuss and analyse key human rights cases handed down by international tribunals.
PresentationThe teaching will consist of a mixture of lectures, discussions and small group work. The Instructor will inform the students of public lectures, court proceedings or other events which students might wish to attend to further their knowledge and understanding of Human Rights.
