Learning OutcomesThe main objectives of this course are for the students to understand what International Law is, and how the rules of International Law can be and are applied by States, international tribunals and other international bodies. Reaching this objective, students by the end of the course will be able to use the skills learned and knowledge gained in explaining international legal concepts and analysing how these are applied in practice by the various players on the international stage. Students will also be able to discuss key cases by international tribunals relating to various aspects of international law, and analyse action taken by States or international institutions.
PresentationThe teaching will consist of a mixture of lectures, discussions and small group work. The Instructor will inform the students of public lectures, court proceedings or other events which they might wish to attend to further their knowledge and understanding of International Law.
