Learning Outcomes	Students successfully completing this course will have developed; a thorough grounding in the main theoretical concepts needed for the study of comparative politics knowledge of the political institutions and cultures of the USA and Western Europe (especially the UK, Italy, Germany and France) internet and library research skills the ability to present a cogent written or oral argument the ability to analyse primary and secondary political texts their ability to write essays to deadlines
