  • To develop a critical understanding of migration and transnationalism in a globalised framework To understand the trends and historical developments of migration in the modern world
    To examine the lives, cultures and identities of migrant groups in the world
  • To encourage students to engage in sociological discussion on contemporary issues related to migration and globalization
PresentationA variety of teaching methods will be used to deliver this course. These will include visual materials and presentations, discussion sessions, lecturing and student participation. Readings will be indicated for each class and it is vital students complete these to be prepared for an interactive class.
Pre-RequisitesANSO 1010 or ANSO 1070 or PSYC 1100 and 6 credit hours of social science, or permission of the instructor.
